Worry?
"Don't worry about anything: instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7
Worry? I was once told that worry was a sin. A mother is supposed to worry, right! A grandmother should have double worries! However worry is an insult to God. It is the opposite to faith. In secular society worry seems to be a gage of how much you care. I refuse to accept that. When I feel concern about my family, I don't have to let it build up. When I feel worry creeping up on me because of family concerns, the news on T.V., or the general fear that seems to permeate our world, I recognize worry as the spirit of fear. This reaction is not always instant because my faith is not perfect. However when I do turn to prayer God rewards me with peace. He is in charge and heals my heart. Worry? not me!
